Katie Hopkins is about to get a much bigger audience

Katie Hopkins, the Sun columnist everyone loves to hate, is about to widen her fanbase*.

Media Guardian reports that Hopkins has handed in her resignation to take a job with Mail Online.

Sadly, Hopkins herself just confirmed our worst fears:

Her last Sun column will appear on Friday and she will start writing for Mail Online in November.

The one time Apprentice star has drawn ire from many quarters for her incendiary views on class, the poor, ginger people, the Welsh, refugees, and many, many others.

A petition was recently mounted to swap Hopkins for 50,000 Syrian refugees after she compared people seeking asylum in Europe to a "swarm" and wrote:

Show me bodies floating in the water, play violins and show me skinny people looking sad. I still won't care.

Mail Online has 13.7million readers a day on average - and 230 million monthly unique users around the world.

Armageddon is nigh.
