While busy running the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the right honourable Sajid Javid was mocked on Twitter for bearing a resemblance to a character from Doctor Who.

Not that the secretary of state felt too offended by the comparison to a Sontaran - a fictional extraterrestrial race of humanoids from the television series - retweeting the picture without comment.

According to the Tardis wikia, the Sontarans are race of belligerent and militaristic clones from the planet Sontar who live to kill, are characterised by their ruthless streak and a fearlessness of death...
