Mariah Carey is now doing announcements on the London Underground

In the latest continuation of Mariah Carey’s festive world domination, the “All I Want for Christmas is You” singer is now doing announcements on London’s Tube network – yes, really.

Announcing the news on Twitter on Wednesday, the musician wrote that she had joined forces with Amazon Music to “bring some festive cheer to the London Underground”, and attached a teaser video of what fans can expect on their travels.

“Hi darlings, it’s Mariah. Make my wish come true and please stand behind the yellow line at all times, proceed with caution, and don’t forget to ask Alexa to play ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ on Amazon Music,” the announcement reads.

Transport for London quote tweeted Ms Carey’s tweet and added: “The one and only Mariah Carey has been surprising customers with festive announcements on the network! Have you heard her on your travels yet?”

It is not known on which lines customers can hear the singer’s take on common travel phrases, though we’re hoping one of them is Bakerlooooo (baby).

Sorry.

Of course, fans are overjoyed by the news, and appreciated Ms Carey’s reference to her song and album title, ‘Caution’:

Personally, we’re very much here for artists jazzing up our morning commute.

ABBA on the Waterloo and City line, anyone?
