People are sharing this awkward picture of Iain Duncan Smith cheering... again

Lots of people are sharing the picture of Iain Duncan Smith looking as though he's just won Who Wants to be a Millionaire while sitting on a very bumpy tractor.

It first appeared in the summer of 2015 as the nation heard chancellor George Osborne's Budget announcement. Then, hundreds shared the image and clip capturing the moment the Conservative politician got really quite excited in the House of Commons.

Many believed it showed Duncan Smith celebrating the plight of the poor. He's been at the helm of billions of pounds worth of cuts, after all, implementing cuts outlined by David Cameron and George Osborne. But he was actually displaying his elation at the then new £9 an hour living wage.

Duncan Smith resigned as work and pensions secretary on Friday over Osborne's plans to slash welfare further. Indeed, his actions may be loaded with other sentiments, such as his Euroskepticism. The Tories are divided over the upcoming referendum.

Still, whatever Duncan Smith's true reasons for resigning, his reputation is preceding him – and the image, yet again, isn't doing him any favours. Or it's at least providing ammo for some banter.
