"If only life could be a little more tender and art a little more robust."
That is the line that accompanies a video by artist Will Thompson that has been shared thousands of times in the wake of Alan Rickman's death this week.
Following the acclaimed actor's passing, tributes have poured in from around the world and few have been more striking than this London's based-artist's effort.
The video that Thompson has put together combines the process of painting a huge portrait of the actor with some of his most memorable moments in cinema.
After finishing the painting, as well as another of David Bowie following his death earlier in the week, Thompson declared on his Facebook page that he will is selling them online and will be giving the proceeds to a charity that helps fight cancer - the disease that killed both men.
F**K YOU CANCER.
