Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has only been a congresswoman for a few months, but in that time she has already established herself as a Democrat superstar.
From proposing her landmark Green New Deal, to eviscerating the US election process and using clips of The Office to mock her critics, Ocasio-Cortez has certainly shaken up US politics.
And now she has come up with the perfect word to describe moderates: "Meh."
She coined the term while speaking at the SXSW music festival in Texas last week to discuss a range of topics from capitalism to automation.
When asked about political moderates and incrementalism, Ocasio-Cortez didn’t hold back. She said:
It feels like moderate is not a stance, it’s just an attitude towards life. Like…
Ocasio-Cortez then shrugged her shoulders. She continued:
We’ve become so cynical, that we view ‘meh,’ or ‘eh’ — we view cynicism as an intellectually superior attitude.
And we view ambition as youthful naiveté when… the greatest things we have ever accomplished as a society have been ambitious acts of vision.
And the ‘meh’ is worshipped now. For what? Like, for what?

Although there were some who defended taking a moderate stance following Ocasio-Cortez's comments.
Not sure AOC would agree with you there.
