Trump campaign team launches website that invites supporters to 'send a brick' to Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer

Donald Trump's election campaign team is being heavily criticised after his 2020 election campaign team unveiled a new fundraiser which will send bricks to Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.

In a tweet shared by his son Donald Trump Jr, supporters are invited to visit buildtheborderwall.com where they can donate money that will be used to fund the sending of bricks to Trump's Democratic opponents.

Trump's campaign manager Brad Parscale has also shared a link to the website on Twitter.

The official GOP Twitter account and the official Team Trump account has also shared links to the website.

A quote on the site claims that they are hoping to send 100,000 bricks to Pelosi and Schumer, with one brick set to cost donators $20.20 with the highest donation of $140 bricks would see them receive $140.

President Trump came up with a brilliant idea to make sure Chuck and Nancy have no choice but to listen to the American people.

We have set a goal to send 100,000 BRICKS to their offices to prove that WALLS WORK!

Please make a contribution of at least $20.20 by MIDNIGHT TONIGHT and we will send your brick directly to Nancy Pelosi's office.

The image of the brick contains a text which states that in 2018 enough fentanyl passed through the US/Mexico border to kill every American.

However, the small print on the site does state that 'faux bricks' will be sent to Pelosi and Schumer and any money received will go directly to the 'Trump Make America Great Again Committee.'

The website has drawn a furious backlash against it, with many citing that sending real of fake bricks to elected officials could set a very unsettling precedent.

As it stands the dispute over funding for Trump's proposed border wall shows no sign of reaching a conclusion as the US government shutdown continues. making it the longest in US history, resulting in Pelosi and Trump making jibes at each other.
