Donald Trump was recently interviewed on Fox News Sunday, where he spoke at length about the election hacking scandal.
The President-elect was asked about the CIA’s reported investigation of the hacks into US political parties, and evidence of Russia’s intervention during the elections.
He called claims of Kremlin involvement “ridiculous”, and toldFox News' Chris Wallace:
It's just another excuse. I don't believe it. Every week it's another excuse. We had a massive landslide victory, as you know, in the Electoral College.
Trump was also asked about his daily intelligence briefings – which, according to Wallace, he only takes once a week.
Wallace relayed what he said:
I also thought it was fascinating when I asked him about the Presidential daily brief – it’s called the daily brief because you get it every day – he’s getting it about once a week. I asked him ‘why aren’t you getting it every day?’ and he said ‘because I don’t want to hear the same thing over and over again’ – it’s an interesting answer.
In fact, he says he’s “too smart” for these security briefings.
Interestingly, Trump criticised Barack Obama in 2014 for something similar...
And 2012...
The only turnaround we await now is Obama tweeting critically about Trump's attitude before writing: "When will we get smart? SAD."
