Ever since the results of the EU referendum, British politics has been in a bit of state.

Theresa May’s 'Brexit Brainstorm' did little reassure the Brexit camp or the pro-EU supporters of a definitive plan, leading to confusion for the public.

Enter Ed Balls: while his political career has been in stasis since the loss of his Morley and Outwood seat in West Yorkshire, he might be igniting a career in show business.

The former shadow chancellor and meme inspiration Balls decided to swap his suit for dancing shoes on Saturday when he appeared as a contestant for BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing...

He's since become a national sensation...

A 'legend' if you will...

Balls was paired with Russian professional dancer Katya Jones during the show's launch, and donned a glittery shirt.

There's one thing that we can all get behind: the sheer ridiculousness of a dancing Ed Balls.
