It's a sad fact of the internet that no matter how careful you are, you will inevitably run into a mean or hurtful comment.

That's why it is always great to see somebody get their comeuppance when using negative language online.

Step forward this Liverpool Football Club fan who couldn't quite handle the fact his team would support the city's Pride festival on 29 July.

Sadly this is the usual sort of rubbish that you'll see on any football related Twitter thread which dares to draw a connection between the sport and sexuality.

Amazingly, because of his comment, it was pointed out that this individual was inadvertently supporting gay talent via his profile.

A quick click-through to his profile reveals said cover photo.

Wentworth Miller, who is best known for his lead role in the TV series Prison Break, came out as gay in 2013 in an open letter to the director of the St Petersburg International Film Festival, protesting against the Russian government's treatment of gay men, as featured by Glaad.

Amazingly, the user in question hasn't changed his banner so this revelation must have completely changed his opinion on homosexuality... Or something like that.
