Alastair Stewart has reported during some tough conditions, including war zones and intimidating world leaders. But on Wednesday the veteran broadcaster faced his ultimate challenge, a toddler.

The ITV anchor was interrupted during Wednesday's lunch time bulletin by one guest who had had enough of the discussion.

During a segment about new allergy guidelines for hospitals, Iris Wronka expressed her dismay by clambering onto Stewart's desk.

Her brother, George appeared to discuss his allergy to cows' milk, after hospitals were given new guidelines to spot the allergy in children.

They were accompanied by their mother Lucy.
