A tweet posted by Ivanka Trump has backfired on the president's daughter after she highlighted that Trump is now looking to hire people in federal positions based on what skills they can provide.

According to the story, the president will be instructing the federal government to begin a process where the government looks at what skills a person has rather than what qualifications they have achieved.

Trump is set to sign the executive order on Friday outlining the government's new hiring process, with Ivanka, who is the co-chair of the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board making the case that the new direction will help create a more inclusive and talented workforce. She is quoted by AP as saying:

We are modernizing federal hiring to find candidates with the relevant competencies and knowledge, rather than simply recruiting based on degree requirements. We encourage employers everywhere to take a look at their hiring practices and think critically about how initiatives like these can help diversify and strengthen their workforce.

Although Ivanka's attempt to improve the federal government might be sincere, she may want to first take a look at how she and her husband, Jared Kushner, obtained their current jobs which is based purely on nothing but the fact that her father is the president and well, not much else which people were more than happy to remind her of.

Still, at least Ivanka is the only of the Trump children to currently hold a job in government. We shudder to think what would happen if Donald Jr or Eric held a job with any sort of responsibility...
