Rapper Lil Nas X brought Pride Month to a close with a spectacular tweet about his sexuality

The US rapper Lil Nas seems to have come out as LGBT+ with a spectacular tweet to wrap up Pride Month, and it goes without saying that people are loving it.

On 30 June, the 20-year-old rapper posted a tweet to his personal account, which shared a video to his new track 'C7osure (You Like);' and asked fans to take close notice of the lyrics, as well as posting pictures of his album artwork, which featured rainbows.

In a tweet, he wrote:

some of y’all already know, some of y’all don’t care, some of y’all not gone fwm no more. but before this month ends i want y’all to listen closely to c7osure.

'C7osure (You Like)' is a song from his EP 7 that talks about needing to be "free". In it, a selection of the lyrics are:

This is what I gotta do, can't be regretting when I'm old.

At another point, he adds:

I know, I know, I know it don't feel like it's time / But I look back at this moment, I'll see that I'm fine / I know, I know, I know it don't feel like it's time / I set boundaries for myself, it's time to cross the line.

Then, in a follow-up tweet, he shared another set of images of the album's artwork, alongside the text:

deadass thought i made it obvious

Other social media users were quick to share their excitement and happiness at what seemed to be the rapper coming out:

On the weekend, Lil Nas X joined Miley Cyrus on stage at Glastonbury where he performed his hit track 'Old Town Road'. He also revealed after his performance that it was the first time he'd ever been outside of the United States of America.

'Old Town Road' reached the number one spot in the United Kingdom, and it also spent nearly 12 weeks at the top of the US Billboard 100 earlier this year, reports the BBC.

We hope everyone had a very, very, happy Pride Month!
