Tory leadership candidate Esther McVey has been on the receiving end of a savage piece of shade throwing by none other than Lorraine Kelly.
On a segment on Monday's edition of Good Morning Britain, which McVey was appearing on, presenter Susanna Reid cut to ask Kelly what was to come in her own show later this morning.
Before she did that, Reid asked Kelly if she remembered McVey during their days working on GMTV together in the 1990s. The Scot said she did remember the MP but didn't go much further than that.
Yep. Yes I do.
That was literally all the acknowledgement that the 59-year-old gave to the pro-Brexit politician and her subtle judgment of McVey soon turned into a massive viral hit, which people were loving it.
Piers Morgan then quizzed Lorraine on the short response she gave to the question, to which she admitted that she couldn't remember working with McVey at all.
I don't remember, I don't remember, I don't remember at all. It was a long time ago.
"Ooh if looks could kill!" added Morgan.
Still, another great bit of work from Lorraine Kelly, one of Britain's finest character actors.
