Melania Trump believes that she is the “most bullied person in the world.”
In an extensive interview with ABC News during her first solo trip to Africa, she discussed her anti-bullying initiative Be Best, and admitted:
I could say I’m the most bullied person in the world.
Journalist Tom Llamas asked if she really was.
She responded: “One of them, if you really see what people saying about me.”
The First Lady has often been targeted by people on the internet for a variety of reasons, including speculation about her relationship with Donald Trump, and criticising her past as a model.
However following her interview people were conflicted online, with some arguing that she has been unfairly targeted and others saying that her comment is insensitive given that there are those in the world who are far worse off.
Some pointed out at that there are those in the world with severe problems – starvation, war and immigrant children being separated from family in the country her husband runs.
