Would-be prime minister Michael Gove has been eliminated from the Conservative party leadership race, which means one of Theresa May or Andrea Leadsom will be taking the reigns in September.
Justice secretary and Vote Leave campaigner Gove's candidacy was something of a surprise, considering he'd previously decided to throw his weight behind arch Brexiteer and former Mayor of London Boris Johnson on a joint ticket.
Last week (was it really only last week?) Gove shocked Johnson, the nation, and probably himself a bit too by declaring he was running for the job himself.
It's fair to say many of us are indulging in our daily recommended allowance of schadenfreude now it's apparent Gove's elaborate manoeuvering in order to become PM has come to naught.
For our money, this video of Gove falling over back in 2010 is one of the better jokes currently being recycled in Whatsapp groups, Slack chats and on Twitter threads everywhere.
In the political memes hall of fame, this un's a classic.
Enjoy. We suggest looping it.
