Mike Pence said 'spend more time on your knees than on the internet' and there are so many jokes

Mike Pence has managed to make an innuendo clanger during a discussion with the Christian conservative advocacy group, Alliance Defending Freedom.

At an event hosted by the group of Tuesday, the vice president was asked how he deals with the deluge of criticism that he receives both from the media and online.

Pence responded by saying that he spends time praying but rather than outright saying that he used this metaphor instead:

No. 1 is spend more time on your knees than on the internet.

Pence, who is renowned for having homophobic views and has supported anti-LGBT policies perhaps didn't take into full consideration what he was saying and his statement made it seem like he might have been doing something else while resting on his knees.

Perhaps in a true piece of irony, his response to the question about online criticism has now become a viral meme and people cannot stop making jokes.

Others pointed out that he had made an inadvertent endorsement of Colin Kaepernick and other athletes who had 'taken the knee' during the American national anthem in protest to racism and police brutality, a matter Trump didn't take kindly to.

To give Pence the benefit of the doubt he is obviously quite an innocent soul and doesn't have a clue when he is making a sexual innuendo.
