The US is still the most powerful country in the world.

This is at least according to global survey data from the Pew Research Center.

When asked, over the past six years...

...45 out of 54 countries surveyed most recently responded with the US.

...and responses to the United States varied dramatically:

For all the talk of a 'special relationship', at 61 per cent, the UK is pretty mid-ranged there.

Mind you, Barack Obama's probably not losing too much sleep with that result overall.
