Cambridgeshire Police have launched an investigation into a possible anti-Muslim hate crime after a piece of bacon was left on the handle of a Muslim man's car.
TellMAMA report that the man discovered the pork product on the rear-left door, cooked due to the sunshine, after he returned from a local swimming pool with his six-year-old niece.

He reported the incident to the police and suggested the act was premeditated, as nothing about the car would suggest directly that the owner was Muslim.
The perpetrator also did not target the driver's door, strangely.
The notion that Muslim sensibilities are deeply offended by pork products has gained traction among the far-right, despite this largely being a myth.
As such people have mocked the story online:
Wow probably the same people who wouldn't feed a homeless person. Would rather waste food being hateful, than feed… https://t.co/InmeKH2UK7 — Go Getter🙌🏽 (@Go Getter🙌🏽)
