Nasa has detailed an exciting new plan to further explore Mars… all through an adorable animation trailer featuring the two new rovers they’ll use.
In the trailer posted to YouTube on Sunday, Nasa unveiled its new land rover and air rover, named Perseverance and Ingenuity.
The narration in the trailer stated:
Perseverance will search for signs of ancient life and collect samples for possible return to Earth.
Ingenuity, on the other hand, will “test the first powered-flight on Mars, which could assist future Mars rovers”.
The journey will take seven months from launch day on Thursday and just seven minutes to reach the surface of Mars on its descent.
After Nasa dropped the trailer on social media, people were loving it:

Flying in Mars is “very difficult”, according to Ingenuity project manager MiMi Aung:
The atmosphere there is very thin – about 1 per cent – compared to the Earth’s density here. So to build a vehicle that can fly on Mars, it has to be very light and be able to spin very fast.
Ingenuity features a solar panel for energy from the sun, satellite, cameras and a super fast rotor system.
The entire vehicle only weighs a remarkable four pounds (1.8kg).
