Oscar Pistorius has been found guilty of murder for the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
Here's what you need to know:
A South African appeals court overturned the previous manslaughter conviction on Thursday morning
The appeal judge, Justice Leach, ruled that the athlete should have been convicted for dolus eventualis murder, which has to do with intent, at his original trial
The ruling comes after the South African state asked the appeals court to review the case
Pistorius's legal team have 10 days to appeal against the decision if he can prove that his constitutional rights have been denied
The case could be handed over to the higher Constitutional Court for a final decision
