A video of a 10-year-old Palestinian girl pleading for violence against her people to end has gone viral and has been viewed more than 11 million times.

Nadine Abdel-Taif was filmed by Middle East Eye standing by a pile of rubble that was a building in Gaza after the area had been struck and destroyed by Israeli airstrikes.

In the heartbreaking footage which has gone viral, the ten-year-old child is visibly emotional as she questioned why her people are being attacked.

She said: “I’m always sick. I can’t do anything. I’m only 10," she said in a video. "What am I supposed to do? Fix it? I’m only 10. I can’t even deal with this anymore.

“I just want to be a doctor or anything to help my people. But I can’t. I’m just a kid.

“I don’t even know what to do. I get scared, but not really that much. I’d do anything for my people. But I don’t know what to do.”

Surrounded by other children, it brings home the reality of the dangerous situation in Gaza where, at any moment, their property could be struck and they could be instantly killed by a missile.

Speaking to the Middle East Eye, the young child is clearly desperate to help her people and can’t comprehend why such violence is happening to them

Nadine said: “All of this when I see it, I literally cry every day. I said to myself, ‘why do we deserve this? What did we do for this?’ My family said they just hate us. They just don’t like us because we are Muslims. It’s not fair.”

The video has touched the hearts of millions who have watched it. One person wrote: “My heart has literally broke....what a senseless & selfish world we live in.”

Another said she has had her “childhood stripped away”.

The recent violence is the worst the area has seen since the war between Israel and Palestine began in 2014.
