Britain is well prepared in the unlikely event of a zombie apocalypse.

A Freedom of Information request from a member of the public back in 2012 revealed that the Ministry of Defence are more than ready to fight the undead.

The public however, remain fearful.

A panicked 999 call on Sunday evening from a member of the public had Manchester police track down a car on the M62 after reports that a man was:

…biting a lady and assaulting her.

They had traced the car to a junction near Birchwood.

This is what they found:

No, these aren't zombies with a penchant for taking photos.

Thankfully, they're extras who were on their way to filming.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester police told Manchester Evening News:

Officers were sent out to search for the vehicle as it is a serious incident. When they found the car in question, they saw they were covered in fake blood.

Thankfully the man and woman were extras on their way to a job and it was a funny ending really.

It seems the t-Virus is not upon us.

Yet.
