Question Time audience erupts with laughter after Tory suggests Boris Johnson cares about Scotland

The Question Time audience in Glasgow burst into laughter when a Conservative politician claimed Boris Johnson cared about Scotland.

Kirstene Hair, the Tory MP for Angus, spoke of the SNP failing Scotland due to a focus solely on the issue of independence:

Nicola Sturgeon is so focused on independence that everything in the domestic agenda has been deprioritised.

That's not the Scotland we want to see, that's not governing, that's utilising your position to campaign for what your party wants.

The punchline, however, got the big laugh:

And I believe that Boris Johnson does absolutely care about Scotland.

Barry Gardiner, the Labour politician on the panel, added:

You lost it, really good up until that point!

An audience member remained unconvinced and concluded:

Boris Johnson can't be trusted, he's a prolific liar.
