Quiz: Did the media really use these words to describe migrants?

Last week David Cameron was accused of "dehumanising" language after referring to migrants in Calais as a "swarm". But that description didn't come out of nowhere: see if you can tell if these words have also been used in the UK media to describe those seeking asylum.

This quiz seems light-hearted but it is designed to make a serious point. We know that the language the media uses matters - our deputy managing editor Will Gore wrote in an editorial for the i Paper on Monday morning that it plays "an important part in shaping public opinions and the media have a particular responsibility to avoid inflammatory terminology".

After all, compassion is what makes us human.
