A new visualisation recently appeared on a popular data subreddit.

It sorted the richest people in the world not only by their net worth, but their ages.

 

Prominent was the absence of Europeans in the higher echelons of wealth - which Bill Gates topped.

So we tracked down the richest person, as defined by the chart's source - Forbes - in each country.
