Watch the heartstopping moment a motorcyclist saved a kitten trapped on a busy intersection

A motorcyclist saved a kitten's life after it fell from a moving car onto a busy intersection, and filmed the whole thing.

In footage uploaded to YouTube from the GoPro camera attached to the biker's helmet, the tiny kitten can be seeing falling to the ground as a red car goes by.

The kitten has several close encounters with traffic and is clearly very distressed before the biker notices it and gestures to an oncoming truck to stop so she can get off her bike and save it.

She manages to pick up the kitten and runs over to a terrified looking passerby who holds it while the motorcyclist retrieves her bike.

The kitten mewls as the biker gives her a safe temporary home in her helmet.

In the caption accompanying the video the biker wrote:

Still shaking! Thank you to the mystery lady that helped and all the people that paid attention and stopped, it was very appreciated.

Kitten turned out to be a he, and is resting safely now.

The video has gained a lot of attention online and yesterday the biker, who goes by the name Your_Brain_On_Pizza on Reddit, posted an update video to show worried redditors everything's fine.

The biker said she's planning on keeping the cat, whom she's christened 'Skidmark', unless she hears from the owners of the red car.
