For the second time in two days, Islamophobe, right-wing activist and EU election candidate Tommy Robinson found himself drenched in milkshake in northern England.
The incident occurred while Robinson, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was campaigning in Warrington, Cheshire. He was talking to a young man who was holding a McDonald's milkshake in his hand.
The man, who has since been identified as Danyal Mahmud, was speaking to Robinson as a part of a small crowd before suddenly dumping the drink on the former EDL leader's head.
Robinson and his entourage quickly pounce on Mahmud and punch him, but he soon gets away. The person filming the moment can be heard shouting "that’s what you get for being a fascist".
The moment was shared on Twitter just before 5pm Wednesday and has since gone viral, having been viewed more than 3 million times in less than 24 hours.
Robinson's deserved misfortune proved to be to the delight of others as he soon found himself to be the brunt of many jokes and memes - and to say that they were hilarious would be an understatement.
The pop culture references were out in force.
Even Johnny Mercer, the Tory MP for Plymouth Moor, enjoyed it.
People soon started to compliment Mahmud with some also wanting to buy him a well-earned milkshake.
Speaking to Asian Image, Mahmud explained that he didn't plan on attacking Robinson and was left shaken and shocked.
I was in Warrington for a meeting and afterwards was on my way home. I had to pass this group of people.
He [Robinson] just kept talking to me. I kept moving location. I was the only Asian guy there. I said to him I do not wish to speak to you on or off camera.
I just got annoyed with him. A milkshake ‘slipped’ out of my hand.
I had no intention of doing anything or reacting in any way. But he kept talking. I feel a bit shaken up and shocked to be honest.
While videos like this are undeniably funny, it's important to remember that engaging in this type of behaviour isn't advisable.
