On Monday, citizens across the United States marked Memorial Day and honour the military people who passed away while serving their country.

Even with the coronavirus pandemic ongoing events still took place with safety precautions followed such as social distancing and attendees wearing face masks.

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden was one of those who attended an event at the Delaware Memorial Bridge Veteran's Memorial Park in Newcastle, Delaware.

Accompanied by his wife Jill, Memorial Day would be a significant holiday for the former vice president, whose son Beau served in the military and passed away in 2015 from a brain tumour.

Biden was wearing a face mask and aviator sunglasses, which for some reason Brit Hulme of Fox News thought was ridiculous and claimed that his appearance was the reason why Donald Trump won't wear a mask in public.

Trump clearly agreed with it and thought is was so good that he decided to retweet it, regardless of the reason why Biden was out in public in the first place.

People were quick to criticise both Trump and Hume for the tweet which not only mocked people for wearing a mask in public but also the fact that Biden was at a Memorial Day event.

Incidentally, Trump spent most of his Memorial Day weekend playing golf. Nice to see that he is still treating the pandemic seriously.
