Donald Trump’s continued refusal to accept the results of the election is starting to have a knock-on effect in his own administration which is said to be in chaos.

A report from CNN claims that the White House has been ‘turned crazy’ by Trump’s antics. Amongst the report’s many claims is that the president’s teams have been flooded by an overwhelming amount of requests for pardons and that Trump might actually refuse to leave 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

CNN writes: “In his moments of deepest denial, Trump has told some advisers that he will refuse to leave the White House on Inauguration Day, only to be walked down from that ledge. The possibility has alarmed some aides, but few believe Trump will actually follow through.”

However, an adviser has told CNN that they believe this is Trump just putting on a show. The aide added, "He's throwing a f***ing temper tantrum. He's going to leave. He's just lashing out."

Although it seems ludicrous that a president who soundly lost an election would refuse to leave his office one of the few things that we’ve learned from the past four years is that you can never underestimate Trump and we shouldn’t be surprised if come 20 January, if he has barricaded himself in the Oval Office and is chained to the desk.

Perhaps things won’t be as dramatic as that but the thought of Trump having to be carried out of the White House because he won’t leave is a visual that many are eager to see happen.

Even congresswoman Ilhan Omar thinks it would make for great television.

To add to this, far-right activist Laura Loomer, who ran for congress in the district of Florida where Trump actually votes has, according to screengrabs taken from the social media network Parler, encouraged the president to physically stand his ground. Once again, people are all for this kind of entertainment.

We have just over a month before Joe Biden will be sworn in as president but Trump and his most hardcore of supporters are claiming that the election was rigged and accusing the Democrats of voter fraud without any evidence.

We doubt Trump will go as far to bolt himself to his desk but we can’t deny that seeing him dragged out of the White House would be quite the spectacle.
