Sean Hannity was laughed at for his assessment of Joe Biden’s speech

Fox News host Sean Hannity was the butt of online jokes after he saying Joe Biden ought to personally thank Donald Trump for his efforts in the coronavirus pandemic.
Following on from Biden’s first address to the nation since setting up shop in the Oval Office, the controversial broadcaster critiqued the Democratic president for “taking credit” for Trump’s response to Covid-19, even going as far to say he ought to tell his Republican predecessor “thank you.”
“He needs to pick up the phone, I suggest, and just call Mara-a-Lago and yeah, bring unity to the country he says that he desperately wants by [sic] thanking Donald Trump because a few months ago he tried to take credit for everything that Donald Trump did on Covid-19. Three vaccines: thanks to Donald Trump’s Operation Warp Speed.”
The suggestion was met with some ridicule on social media.

In his address, Biden said. “A year ago, we were hit with a virus that was met with silence and spread unchecked, denial for days, weeks then months - that led to more deaths, more infections, more stress, and more loneliness”
“We lost faith in whether our government and our democracy can deliver on really hard things for the American people.”
“Two months ago, a country – this country – didn’t have enough vaccine supply to vaccinate all or near all of the American public, but soon we will.”
Biden also spoke about the $1.9 trillion aid package he had just given presidential approval to earlier that day.
Trump on the other hand is regarded by many to have done little of value in his efforts to combat the pandemic, sometimes even making the situation actively worse.
