Tucker Carlson sparks outrage by inventing bizarre conspiracy about Joe and Jill Biden’s marriage

Tucker Carlson has sparked outrage after spreading a conspiracy theory on his Fox News show about the relationship between president Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden.

In a recent segment on his show, which appears to have been in reaction to Valentine’s Day coverage of the Biden’s, where the couple who have been married for 43-years showed affection and love for one another.

For whatever reason, Carlson couldn’t handle this and took particular umbrage with a story by Politico on the new examples of PDA being seen at the White House, something which was sorely lacking during the Trump administration. The report exclaimed, “Historians and relationship experts agree: The first couple’s romantic gestures aren’t just genuine — they’re restorative.”

Not agreeing with this, Carlson sarcastically said, “Not since Antony dined with Cleopatra in downtown Antioch ― before they killed themselves, obviously ― has a country witnessed a love story as poignant as Jill and Joe’.

In almost an almost gleeful tone he added several comments which would appear to suggest that he believes the Biden’s marriage isn’t real by comparing it to climate change, something which Carlson has previously a ‘scam.’

The 51-year-old said, “So it’s official: The Bidens’ affection is totally real. It’s in no way part of a slick PR campaign devised by cynical consultants determined to hide the president’s senility by misdirection. Not at all! Their love is as real as climate change.”

Carlson went on to mock other coverage of the relationship, which some commentators believe will be ‘healing’ for the United States, much in the same way the Obama’s were. However, Carlson suggested that their relationship won’t stop ‘hyper-inflation’ or the ‘Chinese navy.’

You can watch the entire segment on YouTube but a snippet of it has already been viewed more than 90,000 times on Twitter and people are baffled that Carlson would attempt to criticise the president on such a topic.

Carlson has faced growing criticism in recent weeks for the content on his show which has included mocking Democratic congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for fearing for her life during the Capitol riot and suggesting that George Floyd wasn’t killed by police officers last summer.
