US Customs and Border Protection decided to get into the Christmas spirit this week and people weren’t happy.

The official CBP Twitter account posted a picture of Santa Claus holding a "global entry" identification card, saying he’s been permitted to enter the country legally. This didn’t go unnoticed, prompting many to responded with a reminder of America’s brutal family separation policy.

People began responding with pictures of immigrant children in cages at the US southern border.
