Watch this sickly rescue puppy grow up into a beautiful Great Dane

Pegasus the Great Dane puppy was only given a few weeks to live when she was rescued.

Her owner Dave Meirnert was told that even if she lived, she was likely to be disabled and blind due to the health complications associated with amateur dog breeding.

With the help of an animal therapist Meirnert trained Pegasus to walk properly using a treadmill and captured the magical process on camera.

Six months on, Pegasus is happy and healthy.
