Yes, an Israeli newspaper did report on an owl being hurt by Hamas fire

The Times of Israel writes:

The fighting in Gaza has extracted a grave human toll, but some animals have been affected as well.

The long-eared owl is currently recovering in hospital with a broken beak after being found by a kibbutz member near the Gaza border.

The Israeli army has resumed its offensive in Gaza after rocket fire by militants effectively signalled rejection of a 24-hour ceasefire proposed by the United Nations.

During a 12-hour humanitarian "pause" yesterday, Palestinians buried bodies and returned to what remained of their homes in scenes of absolute devastation.
