Borat has joined social media and is already hilariously 'mocking' Trump

2020 hasn't been the most enjoyable of years, which is definitely an understatement so even the smallest amount of joy should be celebrated with the utmost enthusiasm.

That's why we are delighted to tell you that Borat Sagdiyev, the unconventional investigative journalist from Kazakhstan has joined Twitter ahead of the release of his second 'documentary' later this year.

Borat's unusual approach to his job has seen him become an international star ever since his first movie was released back in 2006 but he might upset a few of his fans as he appears to be a Trump supporter now.

In his first series of tweets, which he began posting on Friday, Sagdiyev appeared to be praising the president but his grasp of the English language led to some unfortunate readings of the tweets such as claiming that the president is stronger than that 200,000 Americans who have already died of Covid-19 and speculated as to what Trump has been doing with his 'body fluids.'

Perhaps the most unintentionally hilarious tweet from Borat so far was a mock-up of him on the cover of Time magazine, where he is removing a Trump mask from his own head. Unfortunately for Borat, his choice of wording wasn't quite what he was trying to say.

OK, we'll drop the charade now. Borat is a creation of British comedian and actor Sacha Baron Cohen who is well known for his criticism of Trump, the far-right and the likes of Mark Zuckerberg.

This Twitter account has clearly been set up to promote the forthcoming Borat movie but it will no doubt be hilarious to see what sort of material will come out of it. Judging by the first series of tweets, we won't be disappointed.

Borat Subsequent Moviefilm is set for release on October 23 and will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
