Sophie Turner defiantly calls out Covid-deniers and says she wore a mask during childbirth

Actor Sophie Turner loves to spill the tea.

And this time she has directed her ire towards people who don't wear face masks in public during the coronavirus pandemic.

In a video posted to her Instagram story, the Game of Thrones star revealed she wore a facial covering during childbirth.

"If I can wear a mask while I give birth, you can wear a mask at Walmart," Turner said.

She then ended the video with her signature catchphrase: "And that's the tea."

Turner gave birth to her daughter Willa with musician husband Joe Jonas in July.

The pair married in a Vegas wedding that was officiated by an Elvis impersonator in May 2019, and then in a second ceremony in France a month later.

The couple never confirmed Turner was pregnant.

A fan account shared a recording of the actor’s latest post on Twitter.

This isn’t the first time that Turner has publicly urged people to wear masks.

In their first social media post together after their daughter was born, Jonas shared a mocked-up August 2020 Vogue cover of the couple lounging on their couch with the headline: “Wear a mask. That’s the tea.”

On a previous Instagram Live in March, Turner also urged viewers to stay inside after fellow actor Evangeline Lilly said she was practising “business as usual”.

“Don't be f**king stupid," she said. "Even if you count your freedom over your health. I don't give a f**k about your freedom."

"You could be infecting other people, other vulnerable people, around you by doing this."

To conclude, Turner stated, as ever: "And that's the tea."
