Gwyneth Paltrow keeps forgetting her co-star

Gwyneth Paltrow might be notorious for a “conscious uncoupling” but at least some of her behaviour is irritating people in a slightly less conscious manner.

Paltrow’s early career, in films such as Seven, Shakespeare in Love and The Royal Tenenbaums, suggested she could become one of the greats. The actress cut down on work after becoming a mother and these days her appearances on screen are sporadic and usually take place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Paltrow’s Marvel co-star Sebastian Stan recently took to Instagram to post a group shot from Paris Fashion Week with the caption:

Just barely managed to photobomb the great @pppiccioli and legend @realmrvalentino here…

Thank you both for inviting me to my first couture show in France pic.

Also glad I got to reintroduce myself to @gwynethpaltrow for the third time. We are in the same film…

Rounding off with a shrug emoji, Stan was taking no prisoners.

It probably doesn’t help matters that just last month Paltrow was caught on camera asking her publicist who Stan was despite appearing in two Marvel movies together.

The actor ought not to feel too disheartened, though, since a clip of Paltrow recently went viral in which she appeared not to realise she had appeared in Spiderman: Homecominguntil informed by her co-star, Jon Favreau. Clearly it’s an epidemic.
