It may have only just occurred to some people but Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal is a pretty eccentric guy.
Just a few days after declaring his love of Sean Paul to the entire world, he has now revealed that he has an intense 'knowledge' of Cabbage Patch Kids and how they relate to his fellow Marvel star Benedict Cumberbatch.
During an interview with IGN for Spider-Man: Far From Home, where he plays the villain Mysterio, the 38-year-old went off on a surreal tangent about the children's toy that were incredibly popular in the 1980s and 90s.
We don't talk enough about Cabbage Patch Kids or their parody Garbage Pil Kids anymore and we're glad that Jake brought them back into the public consciousness.
Benedict Cabbage Patch, his great grandfather actually started Cabbage Patch and they were a big thing in the 90s and how Benedict got his start in the business was his uncle who obviously became really wealthy through all of the profits.
His uncle flew him to London and put him in an apartment and then he started his career. The truth of the matter is without Cabbage Patch Kids, Benedict Cabbage Patch wouldn't have a career and you wouldn't have Doctor Strange.
Gyllenhaal's co-star, Tom Holland, looks completely bemused throughout this entire speech, which may or may not be true. The clip has since gone viral and people are just as confused as Holland.
