Jake Gyllenhaal says Sean Paul ‘makes every song better’

From 2005's Temperature to a recent feature on Sia's Cheap Thrills, there is no denying Sean Paul puts out some absolute bangers.

No one believes that more than Jake Gyllenhaal, who told BBC Radio 1's Greg James that Sean Paul simply makes "makes every song better".

Gyllenhaal is currently doing a press tour with Tom Holland for the upcoming film Spider-Man: Far From Home, when he stopped by the studio to play a classic game of "unpopular opinion".

The premise of the game is that a random caller names an unpopular opinion about something, and the celebrity guests choose whether they agree with it or not. But when one caller said he thought Sean Paul was overrated, Gyllenhaal immediately perked up in his chair, exclaiming:

No. Just hang up on him. Sean Paul makes every song better he's in. Absolutely, there is no...he's a genius.

There's not a song he's on or remix that he's on, that isn't good.

But the unexpected mega fan doesn't stop confessing his love just yet. After Greg James plays some of Sean Paul's music, Gyllenhaal continues enthusiastically:

There's not a moment where he comes on the radio where you're not like, come on!

He makes driving fun. I don't care what you're doing. You could be stuck in traffic and he comes on and you want to dance. Doesn't matter. Totally disagree.

That is an unpopular opinion. Now I understand the game.

Well, now you know. Whatever you do, if you ever meet Gyllenhaal remember to never badmouth Sean Paul.
