Fox News host Jesse Watters has claimed that the actor, Shia Lebeouf called him "trash" while in a lounge waiting for his flight to take off.
In a discussion about Chris Cuomo and the debate around whether referring to the CNN host as “Fredo” is acceptable, Watters offered the encounter with Lebeouf as evidence that being in the public eye can come with its unfair share of abuse.
Watters is on record as calling Barack Obama the most corrupt President since Richard Nixon, insisting you can fight climate change using suntan lotion and, in reference to Donald Trump’s policy of separating children from their parents, “some would say it's a more humane policy” than keeping them together.
Whether the exchange with the actor actually occurred is open to debate but whether the Fox host is worthy of such abuse seems more clear-cut.
Needless to say, people didn't have too much sympathy for the broadcaster.
LeBeouf is a known critic of the Trump administration and it's supporters and has stage elaborate demonstrations against them in the past.
