These are the 7 oddest titled books of the year

Too Naked for the Nazis, a book about the musical hall troupe that was said to be the inspiration for the Chuckle Brothers, has pipped Reading from Behind: A Cultural History of the Anus to be named oddest titled book of the year.

The winner was the 38th to be awarded the Diagram Prize, run by the Bookseller publishers, following a public vote.

Here's the 2016 voting in full (percentage of vote in brackets):

1. Too Naked for the Nazis by Alan Stafford (24.8%)

2. Reading from Behind: A Cultural History of the Anus by Jonathan Allan (24.3%)

3. Transvestite Vampire Biker Nuns from Outer Space: A Consideration of Cult Film by Mark Kirwan-Hayhoe (20.7%)

4. Soviet Bus Stops by Christopher Herwig (14.9%)

5. Reading the Liver: Papyrological Texts on Ancient Greek Extispicy by William Furley and Victor Gysembergh (9.9%)

6. Behind the Binoculars: Interviews with Acclaimed Birdwatchers by Mark Avery and Keith Betton (2.9%)

7. Paper Folding with Children by Alice Hornecke (2.6%)
