Shaquille O’Neal has always been a good samaritan, popping up at random locations to make lavish purchases for fans and strangers.
After Kobe Bryant's death last year, someone saw him at a Best Buy and decided to offer him condolences for not only the loss of the fellow Los Angeles Lakers icon but also for the death of Shaq’s sister.
After exchanging kind words, Shaq decided that he wanted to pay for the man’s laptop as a thank you.
Now, Shaq’s back spreading the love.
While the NBA legend was shopping at his sales in the Atlanta, Georgia area, he encountered a young man shopping for an engagement ring to propose to his girlfriend. Shaq then decided to cover the cost of the ring.

On Tuesday’s episode of "NBA on TNT," Shaq explained that he was out shopping for earrings when he came across a man that seemed stressed about the ring's cost and deciding to set up a payment plan.
"I seen the guy come in, he was just so shy," said Shaq. "He was saying, ‘Hey, how much do I owe to pay off my ring.’ And I was like, ‘My man, how much is the ring?’ I’m not going to say the amount, but it’s not a lot for me.”
What a way to step up!
"I was like, ‘You know what? Tell your girlfriend I got her,’” he continued. “I’ll take care of it.’"
At first, the young man didn’t want to accept Shaq’s offer but was reassured by the legend that it’s fine.
“He was like, ‘Man, I can’t do that.’ I said, ‘Don’t worry about it. I do it all the time.’ I’m just trying to make people smile, that’s all."
And just like that, Shaq continues to show how much he cares about people having a brighter day.
