A church in Germany will hold a Star Wars themed Christmas service

A church in Berlin is holding a very special Christmas service.

Well, special if you are a fan of God and Star Wars.

That's right churchgoers, the Zion Church in the district of Mitte is celebrating all things Jesus and Jedi with a screening of select scenes from Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and organ music inspired by the score.

According to the BBC, soon-to-be pastors Ulrike Garve and Lucas Ludewig have noticed a striking similarity between the Star Wars films and the Bible.

In the key scene of Episode VI, Luke Skywalker is drawn onto the side of the emperor, of evil...

Luke resists with the words: 'I will never belong to the dark side.' That sentiment, he says, is reminiscent of a passage from Romans: 'Do not let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.'

The best bit? Those who roll up to the holy occasion in fancy dress will be permitted to enter a raffle for tickets to see The Force Awakens. Ooooooooo, aaaaaaaaah.

If only Yoda were still around to see this, RIP.
