There was an actual car crash live on BBC News

There is nothing like live television as literally anything can happen.

Take for instance Monday afternoon outside Wimbledon Magistrates' Court, where TV presenter Ant McPartlin pleaded guilty to drink driving, following a collision in south-west London in March.

Due to McPartlin's celebrity status, there was a heavy media presence outside the court and probably resulted in more than a few instance of rubbernecking from passing drivers.

Sure enough, as BBC News cameras were rolling they captured a moment that could actually be called car crash television.

As the reporter explained the situation, a three-car crash just happened to take place in the back of the shot, leaving the reporter startled.

The video was captured by TV journalist and producer Robert Coxwell who share the moment on Twitter.

Fortunately, the crash didn't look too bad but we can only hope that they exchanged their insurance details with each other.
