In the world of Instagram, it sometimes seems that everyone's body is eternally toned - apart from yours.

But Michelle Middleton is here to prove that this is definitely not true.

The USA bodybuilder revealed on Instagram how some foods can change her toned six pack into a bit of a belly.

Middleton switched out her life of cardio and yo-yo dieting for weightlifting and a balanced diet in 2015, transforming her body in the process.

Yet she often finds herself bloated.

In the caption, she wrote:

I do these bloat posts every now and then but people still get surprised at how big my belly gets.

Yes I get bloated and it happens when I eat certain foods.

She added:

Earlier I had Greek yoghurt and I got bloated within a few minutes but the bloat only lasted for a few hours and now I’m back to normal.

The foods that make me the most bloated are yoghurts, protein powders, apples, pears, watermelon, broccoli, cauliflower and asparagus.

Middleton explained that the bloating happens when she eats foods that aren't part of her low FODMAP diet.

This diet is often used to tackle IBS and digestion disorder symptoms, and cuts out or reduces carbohydrates.

It involves avoiding foods including leeks, onions, kidney beans, apples, bears, as well as wheat and dairy products.

Many other women have shared their own experiences with bloating.

Though it seems Middleton has got her bloating under control again.
