Gingerbread hummus exists and people think it's an abomination

You know that is is Christmas when you start seeing novelty themed nonsense in the shops that are vaguely linked to the holiday season in a shameless attempt to get us to part with our money.

We've all tried those seasonal coffees from Starbucks and Christmas dinner sandwiches popping up in every supermarket but there is a new abomination on the scene which is causing people to vomit.

Gingerbread hummus is now apparently a thing, well in the United States anyway, and it looks like an abomination.

This snap was taken in by journalist Amy Mackinnon, who is based in Washington DC but no doubt there will be imitations of this popping up everywhere soon.

No word on where you can purchase this or who has made it but people on Twitter are declaring it as the first sign of the apocalypse.
