Stormy Daniels lie detector results released

Stormy Daniels has passed a polygraph test about her affair with Donald Trump.

According to a polygraph test conducted in 2011 and obtained by CBS News, the porn actress was found to be telling the truth about her claim that she had unprotected sex with Donald Trump.

During the exam Stephanie Clifford, known colloquially as “Stormy Daniels’, was asked the following questions:

1. Around July 2006, did you have vaginal intercourse with Donald Trump?

2. Around July 2006 did you have unprotected sex with Donald Trump?

3. Did Trump say you would get on 'The Apprentice?'

According to the examination, she responded “yes” to those questions.

The results found that she was +9 truthful on the first question, and +6 truthful to question two. An answer which ranks more than +4 is considered enough to conclude truthfulness in the participant.

Her answer to the question of whether Trump said he would get her on The Apprentice got a score of +1, inconclusive.

The White House denied allegations that Mr Trump had an affair with Daniels.

Daniels is in the process of suing the US president and Michael Cohen, his lawyer, in an effort to dissolve a non-disclosure agreement she alleges stops her from talking about the affair.

A note about polygraph tests

The accuracy and validity of lie detector tests are a topic of debate.

A former NSA whistle-blower called it “junk science” , and other people argue that since the test relies on the body’s physiological responses to questions, it’s quite simple to trick the test by controlling your body’s response.

In most states in the US, polygraph tests are inadmissible in court, and of those that do, do so on under limited circumstances.
