The View co-host Meghan McCain has never shied away from speaking her mind about her ideals, the state of the nation, and her disdain for former President Donald Trump (who has said many horrific things about her late father, Senator John McCain).

And this week was no different.

On Wednesday, McCain was quick to call Kevin McCarthy, the House Minority Leader (R-Calif.) and many others within the GOP for failing to defend Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) over wanting to impeach Trump.

While she did this, she was able to get a dig in on Trump by calling him a name that is now trending on the marvelous world of Twitter: #CheetoJesus.

Rep. Cheney was one of the 10 Republicans within the House that voted to impeach Trump earlier in the year and has blamed him for inciting the Capitol Hill riots on January 6 over claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Trump. We all know that there was no voting fraud.

According to HuffPost, earlier in the week, McCarthy was on a hot mic saying “he’s had it with her [Rep.Cheney]” and was eager to rid her of House GOP leadership.

Of course, McCain wasn’t impressed by this at all, going as far as to say, “cut the crap.”

“I think anyone in politics knows that was done intentionally,” she further stated.

Then she encapsulated the situation while bringing forth the trending name, Cheeto Jesus:

“What’s happening is, it’s very clear, and I’m going to be a little crass. They’re shivving her for her going on television multiple times and saying that the election wasn’t stolen and for refusing to debase herself to Cheeto Jesus,” she said frankly.

McCain also believes that McCarthy’s message is trying to convey women who won’t “bend the knee” to Trump don’t belong in the Republican party at all.

She further delved into what consequences would be in store for punishing Cheney for not supporting Trump and his antics.

“Go ahead in this sausagefest of MAGA up on Capitol Hill, pull her out and put another woman in who will do and say anything you want for President Trump,” McCain said.

Some people who generally have mixed emotions about McCain were pleasantly surprised at her word choices for Trump. Check out some of the reactions below.

Even McCain got in on the action over the viral hashtag.

McCain is the daughter of late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), whom Trump often would try to belittle even after his death in August 2018. He even went as far as alluding to the idea that he prefers people who weren’t captured in a war when Sen. McCain was a prisoner of war in Vietnam. Trump also criticized Cindy McCain after she endorsed now President Joe Biden for president last year.
