The official US fireworks safety video is the most terrifying thing you'll see this July 4 weekend

Independence Day is almost upon us, and for most Americans that means fireworks.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission is marking July 4 with a safety video that mostly involves blowing up watermelons or showing what would happen if a mannequin tried to stare down an M-80 rocket.

Don't get us wrong, the fact that this video is so scary is undoubtedly a good thing; messing around with fireworks is a very stupid and dangerous thing to do.
